10:40 pm - mod post!

fermata_chizika
hey guys!

I hope everyone had an incredible summer (I know I did!)!
I'm jealous of all yall in NFTY-SO, because you get to go back to camp and have some more crazy times with some of the coolest people ever.
When I made this community, I didn't know much about html, thats why it's so boring. But I have 2 more weeks out from school (hurricane Ivan), so sometime this week it should be looking a lot better. :-D

alrighty, thats all I had to say.

much love!
Jesse

You guys really gotta help me. I am having major camp withdrawal worse than ever. I wish I was at camp sooo badly right now. I would give anything just to be sweating my ass off in the cabin at prep for dinner, or getting those nasty little beads of sweat on my upper lip, and climbing that annoying hill to the dining hall, or going swimming, or bitching about how nasty the Sababa looks and smells, or complaining about the disgusting food. Ugh annyyy of it, I just want to be back there so badly right now. Camp honestly makes me anti social. Tonight, I cancelled my plans and told people I didn't feel good, so I could stay in and be in a bad mood and mope about how much I miss camp. Yes, it always takes a while for me to adjust back to home life, but why is it taking so much longer this year!?! I am still driving myself crazy with how much I miss that place! What is it about camp that makes me miss it sooo much that 2 months after I've been back I am STILL thinking about it! And the worst part is, no one at home even understands! Help me!!

10:43 am - chalutzim o'fo!

thinkpink720
hey chalutzim! i was just reading all of these entries and decided that i had to post one. this summer was definetly the best one i've ever had at jacobs. it was so much fun. i became closer to old friends, met new people, and got closer to the people from NFTY that i didn't really know too well. it's amazing how close our unit was and i'm so happy that i was part of it. i talk about camp all the time! i think my friends are getting annoyed. almost everything reminds me of an inside joke, a story, or something we did at camp. i had so much fun, and i wouldn't change anything about it.

that's all for now,...i hope to see everyone at institute! i will be there, but i'm going late because i have something that i need to go to on that saturday morning, but i wouldn't miss it!

i love y'all!

okay, WOW. well ive been a member of this thing FOREVER and i just now figured how to post in it. so here it goes. YAY JACOBS!! without a doubt, Chalutzim O Fo was the most memorable summer of my Jacobs career. Never could i have imagined that a unit could all be so close as the 54 of us were this year. I was on the phone with Avi yesterday, and we came to the conclusion that (although he had never been to Jacobs before) this summer at camp was the best we could have asked for. After all the drama was put out of the way (and when you look at it now it all seems so miniscule) we had so many good times together, times that, like Laura said, we will never forget. I just wanted to thank all of yall for making my summer rock!! NEXT YEAR IN ISRAEL!! (and Machon 06? WHAT?!)

7:33 pm - I SAID FROM CHINA TO CHINA...CHALUTZIM IS SO MUCH FINA!

laura614
Y'all, I can't even begin to explain how amazing camp was this summer. It was the best summer I have had, by far. For all the whining and complaining we did at the beginning of the session, I have to say I can't remember any of the bad times. The good are all that stick out, and they always will, and every time that I think of camp I will think about Ian asking me what the difference is between Hitler and a gay guy, and his cock a fuckin' doodle doo clock going off at 4:20 in the morning, Jonathon looking so funny on gender bender day, the Yaya's and always being bitchy to Jackson when he wouldn't stop playing his guitar in the Sababa, North Carolina, Ed, GNARLY singing the whole time and every other raft trying to stay away from us, CHIPPPP!, Josh Dinner chasing after the geese, Kay sleeping with her eyes open, Liora's enormous terd that Amy Sherman took a picture of, Maur giving me a high five and saying, "allo?", me and Claire thinking we were the last ones in the group on the bike trip so I stop to go to the bathroom thinking that no one is behind me and David and Maur pull up, Emily's tooth coming out, "oh..MYGAWD!" increasing our numbers from 7 to 20 in North Carolina (honestly, how gross is that? DIRRTTYYY) COLEMAN!!!!, Becky Rich not taking her meds, Avishai and me running around yelling AVIRON, AVIRON when we get back from North Carolina in memory of Josh Dinner, while everyone else is really tired, me talking to Rachel Weiss about how much we miss Josh Dinner and randomly realizing that I just found his shirt on the ground, the talent show!, Erica's obsession with Steve, AK picking his feet, eating cookie dough out of my belly button on bunk night, me and Karen trying to play capture the flag, the dirrty leprachauns, Rachel and Leah's long hair that covers so much, Zoe ain't yo dawg, Becky trying to sort her laundry and having the biggest fight ever in our cabin where Lorna is yelling at the top of her lungs, "JUST LET BECKY GET ON HER BED AND GET HER SHIT!," Dafna randomly finding a little..statue? that says "WE'RE ALL NUTS" in her backpack, Justin in his thong, Haley just being the cutest everrrr....Karen Simon who is my life and always will be. Ahhh I could go on for so long, there is not one person in our unit who I didn't love so much, and I could tell you so many things about each and every person. I love y'all all so much, please go to Israel or at least come back for Machon! Thank you for the best summer ever! CHALUTZIM O' FO FOR LIFE!!

1:43 pm - Hi!

laura614

Hey, I'm Laura! I'm from Memphis, and this summer will be my 5th at Jacobs, I'm gonna be in Chalutzim...I'm pumped. I'm actually leaving on Saturday...maybe Sunday, to go to Jackson and meet up with Karen, my best friend from camp. I'm gonna go stay with her in New Orleans for a week and we'll ride down to camp together. I'm really excited.

Also this summer I did Dream Street. Wow...it was amazing! It seriously was the most fun, I really hope BBYO continues NOT interfering so that I can do Dream Street again.

Well I'm off, I have to start packing since I am leaving in 3 days for 7 weeks. AH!
